Download vitaGizem Emre was born on 22 May 1995 in Berlin. Already at school she discovered her passion and talent for acting, and she pursued this path with ambition. At the young age of just 17 she auditioned for an acting agency—and her major breakthrough was not long in coming. In “Fack Ju Göhte” she played the role of Zeynep alongside Elyas M’Barek and Karoline Herfurth. She was convincing in the role, securing her the same role in Parts 2 and 3 of the highly successful series.
But Gizem can do much more. She played alongside Moritz Bleibtreu in Peter Thorwarth’s “Nicht mein Tag”. There followed numerous TV series and films, including “Großstadtrevier”, “SOKO München”, “Die Neue” and “Zaun an Zaun”. Since 2014 she has been playing the role of Dana Wegener in the successful series “Alarm für Cobra 11”.
She gained her first experience in Hollywood in the same year, playing in the US series “Homeland” with Claire Danes in the leading role. In Turkey as well, she is far from unknown. In 2016 she could be seen in the popular Turkish series “Muhtesem Yüzyil Kösem” as the assassin Yasemin, her first Turkish-speaking role.
In 2020, she played a role in the series „Wild Republic“, which aired in December. The Netflix and Constantin film „Rumspringa“ and the feature film „Soul Strip“ followed in 2021.
She is currently in front of the camera alongside Jella Haase in the leading role for „Chantal im Märchenland“ (AT).
The theatrical film produced by Constantin Film is expected to be released in 2024.
